One of the most important things to know before buying a ring is your ring size. While we can resize a ring, purchasing the correct size the first time would save you a lot of time, effort, and resources!
In North America, rings are made according to two sizing systems: standard fit and comfort fit. The difference between the two methods lies on the surface of the inside of the ring. Standard fit rings have a flat surface, which means that the diameter is constant as you move from one edge to the other. Comfort fit, on the other hand, has a rounded surface. This means the diameter of your ring gets bigger, the closer you get to the edge.
The set-up of a comfort fit allows your ring to slide over your knuckles much easier. This is so you can put them on and remove them much faster. They tend to fit a little looser and feel more comfortable on the finger.
